If my math is correct, that’s about 12 million balls.

Recapping from Week 4, we had a mixed bag of results. Some injuries happened that we can’t control, but most of our recommended players hit! The two candidates I suggested to drop scored touchdowns. I see that happening a little in the future, but who knows? Maybe they saw my article and decided to turn the season around. This is why you come to The Undroppables for all your fantasy football advice!

QUARTERBACK

Joshua Dobbs (Arizona Cardinals)

Yahoo – 5% Rostered
ESPN – 2% Rostered
Sleeper – 9% Rostered

Ignore the name; ignore the team. Look at some of his weekly finishes. He is the QB8 on Week 4 against a tough San Francisco 49ers defense, with two passing touchdowns and 48 rushing yards. In Week 2, he finished as the QB5 with similar numbers (two passing touchdowns and 41 rushing yards). He still hasn’t thrown an interception on the season; Dobbs is taking care of the ball and making plays for his team.

RUNNING BACKS

Jaleel McLaughlin (Denver Broncos)

Yahoo – 3% Rostered
ESPN – 1% Rostered
Sleeper – 2% Rostered

Javonte Williams went down with a hip flexor injury, and Jaleel stepped up and added 72 rushing yards, 32 receiving yards, and a touchdown in Week 4. Javonte misses any time; Jaleel is a great pickup – especially with how the running backs have been to start the 2023 fantasy season.

Gus Edwards (Baltimore Ravens)

Yahoo – 65% Rostered
ESPN – 46% Rostered
Sleeper – 63% Rostered

Barely making th@e cut of being available in half the leagues in ESPN, it’s still worth checking your league to see if Gus is available. He finished with a season-high of rushes with 15 in Week 4, and this offense is starting to click. He also had three targets, not world-breaking but showing they involve him more. Check your waivers!

WIDE RECEIVERS

Michael Wilson (Arizona Cardinals)

Yahoo – 2% Rostered
ESPN – 1% Rostered
Sleeper – 6% Rostered

It was a monster week for Wilson, with seven receptions on seven targets for 76 yards and two touchdowns. He’s only getting more involved in this offense, and Dobbs is showing he can command it; look to add Wilson now before it’s too late.

Michael Gallup (Dallas Cowboys)

Yahoo – 19% Rostered
ESPN – 42% Rostered
Sleeper – 23% Rostered

Coming off an intense Week 3 for six catches and 92 receiving yards, Gallup followed it up with a strong performance. In Week 4, he had five catches for 60 receiving yards. He is more involved and could be used in games where they need Dak to win them games. That could be in Week 5 against the San Francisco 49ers. I think Gallup is a sneaky addition right now.

Curtis Samuel (Washington Commanders)

Yahoo – 19% Rostered
ESPN – 42% Rostered
Sleeper – 23% Rostered

It was a very nice Week 4 for Curtis, coming off eight targets and turning those into seven receptions for 51 receiving yards and a touchdown.  He may not be a weekly starter, but if he is trending up, he could be a great FLEX option for the rest of the season.  Commanders play against the Chicago Bears in Week 5 as well.

TIGHT ENDS

Cole Kmet (Chicago Bears)

Yahoo – 53% Rostered
ESPN – 69% Rostered
Sleeper – 57% Rostered

It’s another player that might not be available, but it’s worth checking. Finishing at the TE1 on Week 4 (pending the Monday Night game), A monster game with two receiving touchdowns and 85 receiving yards, Kmet was heavily involved with the Bears opening up their passing attack. This could signify things to come; Kmet might be a more reliable starter.

Jonnu Smith (Atlanta Falcons)

Yahoo – 0% Rostered
ESPN – 1% Rostered
Sleeper – 2% Rostered

We have to talk about it. Jonnu might be the tight end to own in Atlanta until further notice. Kyle Pitts, on paper, is undoubtedly the tight end you want long-term, but Jonnu is involved now and making the most of it. He had a massive game with six catches for 95 receiving yards and could continue this trend. He has 6+ targets in each of the last three weeks.

DROP CANDIDATES

Joe Burrow (QB – Cincinnati Bengals)

Now, hear me out. Maybe it’s not a total drop, but we must consider benching Burrow now. If he can’t finish it against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 5, I would start thinking of Baker Mayfield or CJ Stroud over Burrow for the season-long league.

Kareem Hunt (RB – Cleveland Browns)

What are we doing? Over 50% ownership on all platforms and for a backup RB that the team signed off the streets? Send them back to the waivers; the Browns didn’t want to sign him during the offseason. What makes you want him on your team?

I was asked to join a fantasy football league in High School and I haven't been the same since. I love the competitive nature, the communities it builds, and the thinking and content that can be created. I am hoping to connect to larger audiences in helping them grow into becoming knowledgable managers and I am open to discussions.
