Review from Week 4

Julio Jones – Finished WR92 on the week, excellent trim. Chris Godwin is getting healthy, Mike Evans is back from suspension, and Cole Beasley is now making this WR room crowded.

Robbie Anderson – Finished WR64 on the week, pretty good trim. Unfortunately, Baker Mayfield and Matt Rhule are ruining what could be an entertaining offense to watch.

Hunter Henry – Finished TE45 on the week, excellent trim. This is just sad. Now onto their third quarterback and Jonnu Smith getting hurt, Hunter had opportunities to step up but didn’t.

Albert Okwuegbunam – Finished WR48 on the week, excellent trim. No targets?! Drop him in your dynasty leagues as well at this point.

*Note on a previous article on George Pickens, it looks like I might be taking the L on that early with Kenny Pickett taking over and have better chemistry with him than Chase Claypool. I will be writing about that this week.

Injuries will make this week tougher to cut and may be more straightforward for you if you are hurting. Read Mike Reedy’s Untangling the Wire this week to ensure you add real value. Then, start your razors; let’s trim up those rosters!

Chase Claypool (WR – Pittsburgh Steelers)

Rostership Percentages:
Yahoo – 56% Ownership
ESPN – 76% Ownership
Sleeper – 70% Ownership (Includes dynasty)
Season Ranking – WR76
Week 2 Finish – WR68
Week 3 Finish – WR59
Week 4 Finish – WR128

As I noted earlier, I picked the wrong Steelers WR to cut. Chase looks like an absolute bum, playing like he doesn’t have a contract on the line. Cut ties with him and re-add George Pickens back if you can. Pickens might be a league winner…

Allen Robinson (WR – Los Angeles Rams)

Rostership Percentages:
Yahoo – 89% Ownership
ESPN – 85% Ownership
Sleeper – 89% Ownership (Includes dynasty)
Season Ranking – WR73
Week 2 Finish – WR23
Week 3 Finish – WR78
Week 4 Finish – WR85

Allen Robinson, we thought he was just in a lousy system last year. And that still could be true, but he does not look good out there. Very high ownership based on the name and the offense he is in. Are you feeling good starting him at any point in the future?

Darrell Henderson Jr. (RB – Los Angeles Rams)

Rostership Percentages:
Yahoo – 79% Ownership
ESPN – 65% Ownership
Sleeper – 77% Ownership (Includes dynasty)
Season Ranking – RB39
Week 2 Finish – RB21
Week 3 Finish – RB67
Week 4 Finish – RB43

Cam Akers is starting to see more snaps; trending went down in Week 4 with the blowout win by the 49ers. Tough to call which week either running back will be effective. And right now, their offensive line will render each running back less efficient than in years past for this Sean McVay offense. I think Cam Akers will take over this backfield by midseason, but truthfully I want neither.

Matthew Stafford (QB – Los Angeles Rams)

Rostership Percentages:
Yahoo – 93% Ownership
ESPN – 88% Ownership
Sleeper – 89% Ownership (Includes dynasty)
Season Ranking – QB25
Week 2 Finish – QB10
Week 3 Finish – QB27
Week 4 Finish – QB29

Is there a trend this week? I think so; this offensive line for the Rams is killing everyone. Stafford will be tough to drop, but from the off-season elbow injury to these line woes, Stafford has underperformed. Two straight weeks without a touchdown, look to stream other options at this position until Stafford and the Rams can figure something out.

I was asked to join a fantasy football league in High School and I haven't been the same since. I love the competitive nature, the communities it builds, and the thinking and content that can be created. I am hoping to connect to larger audiences in helping them grow into becoming knowledgable managers and I am open to discussions.
