Flexing (Fantasy Football 2021 – Week 14)

Are you looking for the perfect flexing Week 13 options to put into your lineup? Do not worry, as I have you covered with the top flexing plays each week. The formula is simple. I look at running backs and wide receivers starting with the RB25/WR25 and dig deeper. I use FantasyPros ADP for the rankings and its one-point PPR. Fantasy Points are translated to FPs.

Running Backs

D’Onta Foreman, TEN

When D’Onta Foreman took the field in Week 12, he rushed for over 100 yards against the rugged New England defense. In Week 14, Foreman will face the Jacksonville Jaguars, who give up the 22nd most FPs to running backs. Foreman will continue to get the early-down work while giving way to Dontrell Hilliard and/or Jeremy McNichols in passing downs.

Chase Edmonds, ARI

Chase Edmonds has been out of commission for four weeks but returns against the Los Angeles Rams. Edmonds had a top-13 performance when the Cardinals faced the Rams in Week 4. However, Edmonds wasn’t coming off an injury, and James Conner wasn’t dominating yet. At the very least, Edmonds will be used as a target machine, and the Rams are tied for 17th most in allowing receptions to running backs.

David Johnson, HOU

David Johson is my reach play for this week. Since the Week 10 bye week, Johnson has had double-digit carries. However, he has not done much with them. Johnson is an excellent receiver and has finished in the top-35 six times. He didn’t score any of those contests, so he has an excellent chance to finish in the top-25. Johnson ranks 59th this week but facing the Seahawks, who give up the 31st most FPs.

Wide Receivers

Russell Gage, ATL

The Atlanta Falcons offense has been dismal all season. It has gotten worse over the last four weeks. The Falcons have scored only 41 points during that span, but Russell Gage has been solid. Gage has gotten better since Week 10, as he has gone from a WR128, 35, 14, 8 during the last four contests. Carolina has been tough against wide receivers (7th in FPs). Still, Gage is a big target in the offense should be beneficial.

Jerry Jeudy, DEN

Jerry Jeudy has shown to be a solid PPR receiver and flex option as he has finished in the top-30 twice in the six games he has played. However, Jeudy has been a double-digit point performer in four games and now faces the Detroit Lions. Detroit is a middling group, allowing the 19th most FPs to wide receivers. Jeudy has not scored a touchdown this season, and he can possibly break that streak on Sunday.

Marvin Jones, JAC

Marvin Jones hasn’t been fantasy-relevant since Week 6 when the Jaguars faced the Dolphins. In the last six weeks, the highest Jones has finished is 41st. However, Jones now has the Titans, and the defense is soft against the pass (31st FPs). The Titans also have allowed four touchdowns to wide receivers in the last two contests, and Jones could add to that total this week.

Tre’Quan Smith, NO

The Saints’ offense has struggled this season, and the quarterback play is a big reason. Even so, Tre’Quan Smith has had three top-35 performances three times in the last six weeks. Unfortunately for New Orleans, Deonte Harris is suspended for three games for his summer DUI arrest. However, this should open up opportunities for Smith. Against the Jets, it should also be a winning role for him. New York is 16th against the pass, but most teams gash them with the run. Outside of last week, the Jets have allowed a touchdown to a receiver in eight of nine contests. Harris ranks 48th this week, but he has a big chance for double-digits and a place in the top-30 or higher.
